My rating: 4 of 5 stars

**I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. Any thoughts and opinions are my own.**

Diamond Rings are Deadly Things is a cute, clean murder mystery and I really enjoyed the story. I love all things weddings and have been considering becoming a wedding planner so I was really excited when the opportunity to review this book came my way.

Adri and Lorea compliment each other in their friendship and their business relationship. Adri is obsessively organized and able to sweet talk her way into a client's pocket book or out of trouble while Lorea helps Adri keep from giving up and going home when things go wrong. The town of Sun Valley, Idaho sounds like a nice, laid-back town to visit on vacation. The rest of the characters were all pleasant and complimented the main characters and the story well.

The beginning was a little slow for me. The little blurbs of crafts at the beginning of each chapter were cute but also a little distracting for me. I stopped reading them about halfway through the book because I was more focused on wanting to read the actual story. I loved the mystery aspect of the book and I can honestly say that even though I thought I had it figured out about halfway in, I was only partially right. Although I was right about the main person's involvement because their personality started shifting and sending little red flags up in my head, I was wrong about their motive. Adri and Briette's relationship too a little to really come out as well but I'm also an impatient person so that could have just been me wanting ALL of the information as soon as possible.

I did not like Dallas's character from the very beginning before Luke even showed up. I thought he was all wrong for Adri's personality. I wish she would have send him packing after the first date but I understand why she didn't. I admired Adri's character for sticking to her morals and not falling right into the bed with either man in the story. It is refreshing to read a romance where the girl doesn't completely lose her mind and her panties as soon as a good-looking guy looks her way.

Overall, I really, really enjoyed this book. The writing was well done, the characters all worked well together, and the mystery kept me guessing until the very end. I will be reading the rest of this series!
