Review:
** I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. Any thoughts and opinions are my own.**

Pleasant Day was an interesting book and I'm glad I was given the opportunity to review it. The characters in this book are complex and most of them are harboring secrets that they don't want anyone to ever find out. Living in a small town threatens that pipe dream, though, because everyone knows just about everyone.

I really liked the dynamic between Pleasant and Clarissa. It was like a grandmother-granddaughter situation which fit well with the book. Pleasant has seen a lot in her young life and Clarissa is able to help her process and develop as a character. Just when I thought I knew how things were going to turn out, something else I wasn't expecting happened to take the story into a whole other direction. The twists and turns in this book will keep you gripping the pages until the very end!
